Crane

Crane (Tsuru) is Japans bird of happiness! The belief is that this bird brings good fortune and longevity. The crane itself only has one mate for life, hence its use in Wedding kimonos. This fabric was part of a Spring Wedding Kimono.

The round motif used in this fabric and the main circle with the blossom pattern emphasis eternity with the wedding in mind. Snippets of other blossoms, peony roses and The colour combination of this fabric is stunning, coral pink with ivory, light grey, candy pink in highlighted areas of the fabric.

Fabric: Vintage kimono silk. Original piece.

Size: Standard Scatter pillow 30 x 50 cms. Cushion filler not included.
