‘Kiku’ Chrysanthemum. The flower symbolises longevity when used in a Kimono. It is an auspicious pattern for use in both a Kimono and Interiors.

This piece is really exquisite. The pattern in the silk of this fabric is a cubic diamond pattern with a plain lines (without detail) that runs horizontally through the fabric. The hand painted chrysanthemums, leaves and cherry blossoms are highlighted with fine gold brush strokes. The tones of Grey in the back ground give a back drop to ivory, aqua, fuchsia, royal blue and crimson.

Fabric : Vintage kimono silk. Original piece as per the composition of the fabric and finished product.
